Science Supplements SafeSalt – Gentle, Gut-Friendly Electrolyte Support

SafeSalt is exactly what it says – salt that’s safe for your horse’s stomach. This innovative, micro-encapsulated sodium chloride supplement is specially formulated to support hydration and electrolyte balance without causing gastric irritation or ulcers. Ideal for horses at rest or in light work, SafeSalt ensures your horse gets the salt they need – safely and effectively.

Unlike traditional salts that can upset sensitive stomachs and are often left uneaten, SafeSalt uses a unique oil-based Micro Encapsulation™ Technology to coat each grain. This ensures the salt bypasses the mouth and stomach, dissolving only in the small intestine where it’s gently and efficiently absorbed.

Key Benefits:

  • Safe for sensitive stomachs – won’t irritate or worsen gastric ulcers
  • Improves palatability – horses won’t leave it in the feed
  • Promotes hydration – supports optimal water and feed intake
  • Encourages electrolyte uptake where it matters most: the small intestine
  • Ideal for horses in light work or rest with essential daily salt needs

Why Choose SafeSalt?

  • Provides essential sodium and chloride for nerve, muscle & organ function
  • Supports horses in mild work, warm climates, or recovery
  • Prevents electrolyte imbalance that can impact performance and well-being
  • Ideal for fussy eaters or horses with gastric sensitivity
